Classical music and beer are not two things that normally go together, but as far as creating and attracting a younger audience, the classical music and beer combination seems to be hitting all the right notes.

St Peter’s Brewery has entered into a sponsorship deal with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, a world renowned orchestra which plays on original instruments to bring out the very best of classical music, as it was intended to be heard.

One of the Orchestra's aims is to introduce young people to classical music, and as part of this they have launched Attitude, a scheme designed to encourage students to attend concerts. In addition the Orchestra runs a training scheme for young musicians, which is entering its fourth year'

William Norris from The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment says: “We are delighted that St Peter's Brewery has decided to support our new Attitude scheme. Our companies share vales of excellence, tradition and innovation, and we're looking forward to introducing younger audiences to the twin delights of great music and superb beer.”

Colin Cordy, managing director from St Peter’s Brewery says: “St Peter’s is a traditional brand which ties in well with the classical music orchestral sponsorship. This sponsorship deal has created an opportunity to introduce young people to our beers and these are proving to be very popular.”
