St. Peter’s Ruby Red Ale has won a silver medal in the SIBA East Anglia beer festival competition held at the Town Hall, Bedford on October 6th 2004.
The 4.3% abv ale collected a Silver Medal in the Bitter category.
Ruby Red has been developed as part of St. Peter’s involvement in the Italian ‘Slow Food’ movement where 6 British brewers supply cask beers to bars in Italy in a programme co-ordinated by the ‘Food from Britain’ organisation.
Mark Slater, Head Brewer at St. Peter’s said; "Such has been the success of the beer that we decided to offer Ruby Red as an Autumnal seasonal beer in the UK in cask and bottled formats. We are delighted to be awarded the Silver Medal at the SIBA competition against fierce competition from many other small brewers who also produce excellent beers".
Ends
Issued 10th October 2004
