Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy

The following policies, terms and conditions govern the use as well as all transactions carried out on the St. Peter’s Brewery website. We reserve the right to change or amend these policies from time to time, so please read this section periodically.


Please bear in mind that the below mentioned do not affect your statutory rights.


Privacy Policy

St. Peter’s Brewery respects your privacy.


When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. 


When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. 


We will not share your information with anyone except to comply with the law or protect our rights. We will not ask you for personal information unless it is required to deliver you specific information, services or products. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information that we may collect whilst operating our website. 


When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. 


If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, for example, newsletters we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. 


You may choose to sign up to receive our newsletters by submitting your email address on the front page of our website by entering your email address in the box stating “join our newsletter”.  If you have done this we will from time to time send you e-mails regarding new products and special offers as well as developments in the industry in terms of laws that may affect your purchase of beer. However, if for any reason you do not wish to receive e-mails from us, either click on the ‘unsubscribe’ button on the newsletter or tell us by sending an e-mail message to beers@stpetersbrewery.co.uk.


We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. 


Our store is hosted by Computer Service Centre. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. 

Your data is stored through WordPress’ data storage, databases and the general WordPress application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.


Payment Policy
We accept main credit cards such as MasterCard, VISA, Switch and DELTA. We also accept cheques and money orders. Orders paid by cheques will usually be processed when the funds have been verified. Please make cheques payable to St. Peter’s Brewery Co Ltd. and send to the address given.


When you complete your purchase, you are redirected to the Barclaycard website for your payment to be taken. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.


All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.


PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.


Third Parties

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. 

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.  In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Therefore, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.  As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act. Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service. 


Security Policy

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.  If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a minimum of AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. 

St. Peter’s Brewery have taken all precautions to make your transactions secure for both payment and sending personal information. You are however given the option to place orders by telephone 01986 782322. You can be assured that the same level of security is provided for information submitted by telephone.


Shipping & Delivery
Prices shown exclude shipping costs, these charges will be automatically added to your order depending on the weight of the order and the delivery location. All goods should be delivered within a period of 7-14 days. If an item you order is out of stock you will be notified immediately and with your agreement, arrange another time of delivery or a full refund will be offered. If you are not at home to sign for delivery of the goods and you instruct us to leave it without a signature, please note this is done at your own risk.


Refund Policy
St. Peter’s Brewery wants you to be totally satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely happy with the products, you will be given a full refund within 14 days. You must however, return the item in original condition within 5 days of receipt, this will be at your own charge. If using a credit card, refunds will be credited to your account. If paying by cheque or money order a refund will be mailed to you. For security reasons, we recommend that the product is returned via recorded delivery


Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of 18.
